Embrace the Season!

It is time to face it. Summer has come and gone and we are heading towards winter. Goodbye sun...hello rain and snow. We must do what we do every year-embrace it and look forward to all the things that come with a new season. Leaves falling, crisp clear skies, the smell of hot cider and the crackle of a fire. All the senses are in overdrive. But beyond that we get to pull out our old boots and sweaters, or even better-shop for new ones! The anticipation of decorating for the holidays always helps me to leave summer behind. With every new year's seasons there are fresh colors in demand. It is hard not to notice new color trends, whether on a knitted scarf or in a wallpaper pattern.

Fun fabric colors to look out for are olive green, harvest orange, cranberry red and inky blue. Metallic finishes in furniture and accessories are standard gold, rose-gold and silver. And, as always we have our neutral brown, black, deep grey and sandy beige. So, whether shopping for yourself or decorating your tree, have fun with these new colors! Maybe you might even add some splash to your home with some new pillows or throw a new color up on the wall! But, whatever you do…embrace the new season and try to have some fun!
